Ray McKenna is an accomplished coach and fitness professional with over 17 years of experience in the
industry. Ray's journey began as a fitness instructor and lifeguard, and over the years, he has
continuously expanded his expertise and qualifications to serve his clients better and pursue his passion
for fitness and wellness.
Ray's educational background is extensive and international. He achieved his Level 3 ISSA Personal
Trainer certification and deepened his expertise abroad in Australia, where he completed Certificate 3 &
4 in fitness, alongside becoming an SNA accredited sports nutritionist. Ray further honed his skills by
attaining the Precision Nutrition Master Coach qualification and is a certified strength and conditioning
coach through The Poliquin Group. He is also a certified movement specialist from the school of Dr. Kelly
Starrett & Barefoot training specialist, making him a versatile and knowledgeable coach in various
aspects of physical training and wellness.
Throughout his career, Ray has remained committed to continuous learning and development. He has
completed internships in the fitness industry across three continents—in Australia, Canada, and Spain
while working in over ten gyms.
His qualifications include an accreditation as an Australian nutritionist and two master’s degrees in
sports nutrition and physiology & sports training from the Institute of Performance Nutrition and Real
Madrid.
Ray has also competed as a fitness model three times and played sports most of his life and has a rich
history of working with athletes from different disciplines, including soccer academies like Sporting
Lisbon Toronto Academy and Real Madrid FC, as well as in Gaelic Hurling in Ireland and many sports.
Rays experience extends to coaching athletes in boxing, kickboxing, and mixed martial arts.

factual science to support his clients' health and performance goals. He advocates for a 'food first'
approach, yet is knowledgeable about how supplements can enhance performance and health when
necessary. Ray specializes in creating individualized programs tailored to each person’s unique needs and

regarding exercise, nutrition, recovery, self-management, and stress management. He emphasizes the
